Chapter - Talents

A talent is a kind of thing. strength, courage, luck, scent, honor, spirit, and freedom are talents. [Note the uncapitalized "strength": we don't want the talents to have articles, but we also don't want them to be capitalized like proper nouns.]

[Exercise 10.4]Before printing the name of cobwebs when player holds courage: say "hardly noticeable ". Before printing the name of cage when player holds strength: say "flimsy-looking ". Before printing the name of piece of jade when player holds luck: say "lucky ". After printing the name of pickup when player holds scent: say ", still smelling liked spilled gas".

Instead of dropping a talent: say "You can't imagine being without it, now." Instead of inserting a talent into something: try dropping noun.

The description of a talent is usually "[if held]It's just kind of part of you now.[otherwise]It glimmers and sparkles."
